Technical Business Analyst_

London / Manchester

Permanent, Full-Time

Salary £45k - £65k DOE

Recruiting on behalf of one of the largest software developers globally, renowned for their technological expertise and focus on quality + people.

Currently looking for Technical Business Analyst you will be working closely with the client (both

stakeholders and team members) and their developers, acting as the conduit between both to ensure successful outcomes for all involved. As a result, this role will suit someone who thrives on building trust and relationships with others and fostering a collaborative working environment.

You’ll be facilitating meetings and gathering requirements from stakeholders. You will spend time identifying and analysing the problem space that they are working in. For the Software Modernisation projects, you will be working with Subject Matter Experts to develop a shared understanding of existing systems, modelling the data and business processes. You will help shape the roadmap of the engagement, and work in a collaborative manner with the team to help the project progress and achieve our goals.

An essential part of being able to produce these outcomes will involve working with the client’s key

representative, usually the product owner, to continually refine and prioritise the backlog. This will ensure the development team is always working on high priority features for the client and delivering the most value.

What about you?

As someone performing this role these are some of the things we are looking for:

  • Experience working in Agile environments - within a cross-functional team that has delivered and deployed regularly. You will be comfortable writing user stories and elaborating acceptance criteria to support Behaviour Driven Development. You’ve been involved in showcases, retrospectives, and ensuring that key ceremonies are run.

  • You have an awareness of how technology enables businesses. Particularly interested in hearing from you if you have experience working in a regulated industry such as healthcare. However, what is important to the client is that you are open to learning about and working in different ones (client has a wide range of clients!) and can quickly identify and understand how these different businesses work.

  • You are comfortable with more technically oriented tasks, such as analysing relational database design, investigating system behaviour, and preparing test data.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills. You will be one of our key people on client sites from engaging with clients, to organising and setting up meetings. It is important that the person in this role can understand and gather requirements from the stakeholders and translate these clearly to the technical team, ensuring everyone is on the same page and the project runs smoothly.
